We travelled to Damaraland with our eight-year-old to find Namibia’s desert-adapted elephants. From tracking them through an extraordinary boulder-strewn landscape to sleeping beneath the stars at Wilderness Doro Nawas, this was one of the most memorable stages of our Namibia journey.

We visited Sossusvlei in Namibia with our eight-year-old, staying at Desert Grace in the Namib Desert. From climbing the extraordinary dunes and exploring Deadvlei to spotting scorpions after dark, this became one of the most memorable stages of our Namibia journey.

Set amongst enormous granite boulders in the Namibian desert, Zannier Sonop in the Namib Desert in Namibia feels designed for couples rather than families. Yet travelling with our eight-year-old, we found its horse riding, stargazing, cycling and extraordinary desert setting made it one of the most memorable stays of our Namibia trip.
