Here’s how to rediscover our amazing London in 5 hours for the perfect family day out! ❤️

❤️ Ventured down for some precious family time this Sunday starting in @chinatownlondon where we tucked into the most delicious lychee flavoured mermaid waffle ice cream from @ilovetaiyakiya , before marvelling at the lovely parasol installation on Macclesfield Street.

🦍 Later we wandered into @coventgardenldn and saw the amazing Tusk Gorilla Trail before landing at the @ltmuseum where my son had the most amazing time learning all about London’s transport transformations over time 🚃 *paid partnership with Covent Garden*

💜 Next, we headed over to @carnabylondon eyeing up the colourful new art installation before ending the evening on a truly decadent Modern Greek dinner from @ino.restaurant . The tuna tataki is a must have 🇬🇷

Our first visit to Hampton Court Palace, home of King Henry VIII, and what a pleasant surprise not just to be graced with the amazing history but also the Tulip Festival❤️

The entire visit takes about 4-5 hours with ample cafes and gorgeous grounds where you can picnic with these amazing views.

Tulips can be found in the main grounds but also in the castle atriums and the vegetable garden. There’s so many colours and types to marvel at. Just spectacular to see!

Seals, sun and sea! 🦭 ☀️ 🌊

We had an epic adventure on a boat trip to Duiker island to see the seals! Located just off the coast of Hout Bay which is about 20 mins away from Cape Town centre, Duiker island is not foot accessible as there is a huge colony of seals inhabiting the island, but a boat goes by to allow you to wonder at them in their natural habit. We snapped endless pictures of the cutest seal colonies and soaked up these stunning Cape Peninsula views! Plus did you see the dancing towards the end - prepared to be greeted by these Cape minstrel musicians.

Definitely one the activities not to be missed when visiting Cape Town ❤️ Can’t wait to relive this on our next trip!

Feeling on top of the world after conquering the Kloof Corner hike! ❤️

I would rate this hike as basic-medium. It’s steep but there are very well established rocks as stairs most of the way. Most importantly, we all could do it, even our 5 year old and as you can see I was certainly not dressed for it as we did not plan to go hiking 😂

The round trip took us 2 hours in total which was not bad! When you get the the top, there is a very steep cliff you can sit on with make shift stair seats for this most amazing view! It’s worth the effort but be mindful if you have vertigo ❤️

Two weeks of bliss in South Africa with 5 days spent at @12apostleshotel in Cape Town where we had the most splendid time!

Cape Town is undoubtedly our favourite city in SA, but a stay @12apostleshotel takes it to the next level. Besides the fact that the hotel has the perfect sunset viewpoint at the Leopard bar, the delicious food, award-winning spa, exemplary service and various pools for your taking make everything here pure perfection❤️ There is also a cinema which plays movies three times a day. Amazing! Plus kids are treated like royalty with superb kids menus and service ❤️. We loved how the staff got to know my son and he got these little treats every now and then ;)

We couldn’t wait to return as our last stay here was pre-pandemic and we certainly were not disappointed!

When you have an amazing ranger, the animal sightings are always spectacular!

Can’t thank Kelvin @gondwanagr enough. We got the closest we ever have to animals and saw so many cute families and babies. He literally delivered on our entire wishlist. Of course, it certainly helps when you are visiting an amazing reserve with the big 5.

Gondwana is 4 hours away from Cape Town so is an easy, accessible, Malaria-free safari for those of you wishing to stay in the Western Cape region. We had a fabulous time! ❤️

Set in the Western Cape as part of the Garden route, just 4 hours from Cape Town, the uniqueness of this reserve is the scenery and landscape setting coupled with lovely accommodation and food. Dreamy fynbos covered the rolling hills and valleys for the most spectacular topography. And, the area is malaria-free!

We had a few slightly chilly days so cosying up to fireplace was just perfect!

Special moments shared at the Rapid Views Villa @victoriafallsriverlodge which is a @condenastjohansens property

With the most stylish design, it was no surprise that we loved this new villa that just opened. Catering for 8-10 people, the villa has a perfect mix of entertaining space combined with gorgeous bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor areas, all overlooking the Zambezi river, where we were lucky enough to have a view of ~8 hippos when we moved in ❤️

We went for the full board option which meant we also had a chance to have lunch and afternoon tea at our villa. The food was just amazing!

We went on a river cruise on the Zambezi river from @victoriafallsriverlodge ,a @condenastjohansens property. Such a bucket list adventure that we simply loved! ❤️

Specific highlights were watching a herd of elephants, including 3 little babies, cross the river and holding our breath that they make it across without drowning. They made it and it was such a relief! We also saw hippos, crocodiles and tons of beautiful birds. Just being out there and enjoying it all was just amazing!

River cruises are part of a daily package with our hotel @victoriafallsriverlodge where both sunset and sunrise cruises are possible. It was simply superb especially with those lovely drinks ❤️

So when you think Monaco, you are probably thinking not with kids, right? Not quite 🥰

Monte Carlo has so much to do with kids. We visited with our son a few times and always had the best time. The hotels are immaculately child (and baby) friendly and we found that all restaurants were so accommodating with kids, even later in the evening.

Here are a few things to do with young children:
- Take a stroll around the Japanese Garden
- Take a tour of the Prince’s Palace and watch the Changing of the Guard
- Visit the Princess Antoinette Park
- See Prince Rainier III’s Classic cars
- Explore the Oceanographic Museum
- Spend a day at the beach or lounge by the glamorous hotel pools

Dreaming of La dolce Vita ❤️ in Polignano a Mare 🇮🇹 with so many things to do. A perfect day trip in Puglia!

Puglia is a great location for a Autumn/Winter break as it still retains some of the warmth during these times being in the Southern shoe of Italy. With so many regions to explore, this less well known part of Italy offers so much, and is a foodie haven! Definitely a consideration for your Easter/May or October break! ✈️

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at my new favourite Mayfair spot.

Kid friendly safaris are not a guarantee in Africa and even in South Africa. Here are 6 tips to look out for:

1. Find a hotel that not just caters for kids but welcomes them, This will make a critical difference to your experience. Inclusion of wonderful kid-friendly rooms will make your kids even more excited about the whole experience too! 🏨
2. Kids under 6 generally are not allowed on safari drives for safety reasons. However, some hotels offer ‘bumble drives’ for those aged 3-6, that are held after breakfast. These are more appropriate for younger kids from both a timing and experience perspective. Additionally, check if their safari vehicles have child seats if you have very young kids 🚙
3. If there’s a kids club, this will win your kids over by breaking up the day and keeping them educated and occupied 🧸
4. Check if kids meals are catered for - usually luxury safari lodges have abundant meals and food ❤️
5. If travelling with younger kids, try to choose a lodge in a malaria-free area as anti-malarials are not recommended for kids under 5 🐜
6.Informative safari guides who can entertain and educate kids even when they are not on a drive are a saviour! This will make the experience so special with simple activities like tracking footprints and identifying animals 🦒

Day 2:

Day 3:
Morning at Jardin de Tuileries
Visit the Louvre and lunch @cafe_marly
Evening in Montmatre if you fancy being a tourist or venture to @mamashelter in the the bohemian 20th arrondissement if you fancy something different.
