Travel Concierge
By The Kensington Diary. A Considered Approach to Travel.
Travel that is considered, not rushed. Curated, not assembled. Designed to be remembered, not endured.
Some journeys matter more than others.
A family's first safari. A long-haul journey with young children that's meant to feel exciting, not overwhelming. Time away that needs to be remembered for the right reasons. These are moments that matter.
When children are involved, travel isn't just about where you go. It's about pace, distance, timing and whether an experience feels safe, engaging and age-appropriate - or quietly too much.
Our approach to travel is shaped by lived experience, and by an understanding that environments shape how we feel, behave, and return home. We work closely with families to design personalised, curated travel that feels grounded, safe, and quietly exceptional, where children enjoy the experience rather than endure it, and adults feel present rather than preoccupied. But most importantly we create a curated journey that works for your family and leads to core memories that last forever.
As an IATA-registered luxury travel advisory service, we design discerning family travel that is calm, safe, and considered whether that’s Europe, Africa, Asia, or other short or long-haul family itineraries on the ground, or cruising on the sea.
Why Our Approach Is Different
Our travel advisory is informed by a formative travel lens, the understanding that environments shape behaviour, perspective, and how we return to daily life. Alongside infectious disease awareness, this means we consider where you travel, when, how and whether it is appropriate for your family based on seasonality. We don't just book hotels.
This quietly guides how we assess destination choice, timing, pace, and logistics, so travel feels grounding and proportionate rather than purely escapist.
We apply judgement from destination suitability and seasonality, to property-level realities, to how things actually work on the ground for discerning families who value their time and experience looking at kids club suitability for specific ages, and whether these experiences have any formative value for your family as a whole.
We've visited the properties we recommend, understand how destinations function, and work within established industry relationships in the luxury travel sector that allow for flexibility, priority handling, and problem solving when plans change.
This quietly guides how we assess destination choice, timing, pace, and logistics, so travel feels grounding and proportionate rather than purely escapist.

A More Considered Way to Travel, for Families
I don’t plan trips in isolation. I apply judgement across the full travel chain from destination suitability, seasonality, transfers, property fit, and on-the-ground realities drawing on first-hand travel experience across the world, as well as long-standing industry relationships.
This is not about maximising itinerary density. It’s about creating travel that feels calm, safe, and genuinely supportive whether you’re travelling with children or designing time away as an adult.
We help families think through:
-
Destination suitability by age, season, and pace
-
Health-informed considerations (without replacing medical advice)
-
Travel fatigue, transfer distances, and realistic itineraries
This is not about “luxury for luxury’s sake”, it’s about making travel work in real life and creating memories that last a lifetime.
