Dubai, the jewel of the Middle East, is known for its towering skyscrapers, luxurious hotels, and opulent lifestyle. Whilst it is known as a city of superlatives, because of it's larger-than-life attractions such as the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and the largest shopping mall, the Dubai Mall, it is the perfect destination for newlyweds seeking a romantic and exciting honeymoon experience if you are travelling to the Indian Ocean islands or other countries on a layover. This is exactly we did on our way back from the Maldives via Dubai where we spent a glorious 4 days. From world-class shopping and fine dining to adventurous activities and serene desert escapes, Dubai has something to offer for every couple.
In this guide, we'll explore the best hotels, sights, and experiences that Dubai has to offer based on our short stay.
Where to Stay
Dubai offers a plethora of luxurious accommodations, but for a truly indulgent honeymoon experience, the Burj Al Arab is an unbeatable choice. Known as the world's most luxurious hotel, the Burj Al Arab boasts unparalleled levels of service and amenities, including private butlers, chauffeured Rolls-Royce cars, and even a helicopter landing pad. The hotel's suites are sumptuously appointed with lavish furnishings and modern amenities, and many offer spectacular views of the Persian Gulf. Couples can enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the hotel's nine award-winning restaurants, relax at the stunning infinity pool, or indulge in a spa treatment at the Talise Spa.
Jumeirah Beach is also home to some of Dubai's most impressive hotels. The Madinat Jumeirah is a stunning Arabian-inspired resort that captures the essence of Dubai's rich cultural heritage. Set on a sprawling stretch of beachfront along the iconic Jumeirah coastline, this luxurious property comprises three grand hotels, exquisite villas, and a network of meandering waterways and lush gardens. With its authentic Arabian architecture, opulent interiors, and world-class facilities, the Madinat Jumeirah offers guests a truly unique and unforgettable experience. From the vibrant souk and the indulgent Talise Spa to the award-winning dining options and the pristine private beach, every element of the Madinat Jumeirah exudes elegance, luxury, and sophistication.
Another standout hotel in the Jumeirah Beach area is the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach. This luxurious hotel offers stunning sea views, elegant accommodations, and a range of amenities, including a private beach, multiple swimming pools, and a state-of-the-art spa.
The Palm Jumeirah is an artificial island that is home to some of Dubai's most exclusive hotels but personally I far prefer Jumeirah Beach for the natural beach over the Palm.
The Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beach resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. With its grand Ottoman-inspired architecture, exquisite interiors, and impeccable service, this stunning property is a haven of elegance and indulgence. From the expansive infinity pool overlooking the Arabian Gulf to the tranquil Talise Ottoman Spa and the exceptional dining experiences, the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a true feast for the senses.
Nestled on the pristine beachfront of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, the One&Only Palm is a stunning oasis of luxury and sophistication. This exclusive resort boasts an elegant and refined design, with spacious rooms and suites featuring breathtaking views of the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf. Guests can indulge in a range of exceptional dining experiences, including Michelin-starred cuisine, or unwind in the lavish spa, which offers a wide range of treatments and therapies. With its lush gardens, sparkling pools, and white-sand beach, the One&Only Palm is the epitome of understated elegance and relaxation, providing an unparalleled escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The Atlantis the Palm is a truly iconic resort that stands majestically at the tip of the famous Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. This magnificent property offers guests an unmatched experience, with luxurious accommodation, world-class restaurants, and unparalleled entertainment options. I would certainly recommend it if you are traveling with your children. From the awe-inspiring Aquaventure Waterpark and the mesmerizing Lost Chambers Aquarium to the indulgent ShuiQi Spa and the incredible range of dining options, every aspect of the Atlantis the Palm has been designed to leave guests in awe. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a little of both, this exceptional resort is the ultimate destination for a truly unforgettable holiday experience.

Dubai is also known for its world-class shopping, and couples can spend a day exploring the luxurious malls and boutiques. The Dubai Mall is one of the world's largest shopping centers, with over 1,200 stores and attractions such as the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. Where to Eat
Dubai's culinary scene is another highlight of the city, with a wide range of international cuisine and Michelin-starred restaurants. One popular option for couples is the romantic dinner at Pierchic, located at the end of a pier at Al Qasr Hotel. The restaurant offers stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and serves fresh seafood dishes.
For a taste of traditional Arabian cuisine, Al Fanar Restaurant & Cafe serves up delicious Emirati dishes in a beautifully decorated setting. For something more modern, La Petite Maison offers French-Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of Middle Eastern flair.
If couples are looking for something more casual, Dubai is also home to a wealth of street food options, including shawarmas, falafels, and traditional Arabic sweets called baklava.
Dubai is a city of endless possibilities, offering a luxurious and unforgettable honeymoon experience for couples looking to indulge in a bit of adventure, relaxation, and romance.
